Herrera Family

I had such a fun time photographing the Herrera family (R.J., Kim, Lacey and unborn baby Herrera) tonight :) Kim is due on June 22, so we're expecting baby to arrive any time now! They are looking forward to finding out whether they're having a boy or girl, and Lacey can't wait to be a big sister. Isn't Lacey the sweetest thing?

Baby Taylor

I am very happy to say that I had the privilege of taking photos of little baby Taylor Marie earlier today. She is such an adorable little girl with an obvious mixture of mommy's and daddy's characteristics! This photo session took quite some time as both Kim and I had babies to take care of, but we were able to put baby Taylor to sleep for pictures, and my three brother-in-law-baby-sitters kept my little Andrew occupied for quite some time. It was well worth the adventure! Here are some lovely photos from the day:

Tori

This is my beautiful friend-since-eighth-grade, Tori. Her interest in modeling has been growing over the past few years as she's lived in Chicago. We spent a lovely evening at the beach taking pictures this past Sunday.

Photos with Mood

I took this top image earlier today and I couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful it is to me. I love the expression on her face. A couple hours ago, I stumbled across one of my past college teacher's photography blog, which had an updated post with some black and white images she'd captured so perfectly. Each photo included young people, and each photo expressed so much mood. This inspired me to look through some of my favorite images I'd taken over the past year. So here they are:

Color Palette: A Delicate Treat

This is color palette number two. These candy dishes were placed on tables as favors for my sister-in-law's bridal shower in April.

Color Palette: My Favorite Flower

I have always been fascinated with color since I was a little girl. If I could choose a way to die, it'd be to drown in paint color chips. (Well, not literally.) I'm sure heaven is filled with light and colors beyond what we could ever imagine. But for now, earth supplies us with enough color to satisfy my soul. I love stumbling across photographs I've taken, or found elsewhere, with amazing color palettes. I've decided to create my own color palettes for images I've taken as time goes on. This is my kind of fun :)

These are the flowers my husband gave me for my birthday in April. He remembered my favorite flower is the tulip, and I just love the red-orange ones.
